17/9/22 The Kyle & Lochalsh Community Trust asked the CC to share: 

"The Lochalsh Collaborates Community Action Plan is set to launch on Saturday 24th September.

Come join us at Dornie Hall to get involved, for further information, lunch, and activities for all the family. Lets build a stronger Lochalsh!"

25/8/22 Dornie & District Community Council warmly invite you to drop in for a free cuppa on Saturday 27th August 2pm-4pm at Aird Ferry. An opportunity for the Dornie area to be together after recent tragic and shocking events. ALL WELCOME. 

 

19/8/22 from NHS Highland Resilience Team: support for the community - the advice is now to contact your GP or phone 111. Schools are being provided with expert help for any questions that may arise from pupils and parents. There will be a community impact assessment led by the public health team. 

12/8/22 from NHS Highland Resilience Team:

Over the weekend 13/14 Aug 2022 – between 1100 and 1800 on Saturday and Sunday phone support is available by calling 01471 820502 (leave a message if the phone is engaged)

15-17 August (Mon to Wed), in person support is available in Sleat and Kyle, contact is via the Kyle GP practice 01599 530930

Out of hours, please call 111

We will be reviewing our approach next week to help make sure we have the right arrangements in place

11/8/22:From NHS Resilience : Important update: in person and phone support will be available tomorrow (Friday 12th August 2022) between 0830-1730  in the Kyle Medical Practice – call 01599 530930 and ask to speak to the Skye Incident Support team.  Two people will be available throughout the day but if the call volumes are high, there may be a delay before one of them is free.  If this happens, the GP reception team will take people’s number and arrange a call back. Further announcements will be made as the arrangements are finalised.

10/8/22:Following the police incident on the 10th August 2022, the community council have been asked to circulate this :

"If you have been affected by recent events and you wish to speak to someone, support is available by phoning 111 and choosing the mental health option where there are specially trained advisers who can support you and also connect you to other services if needed.
