Night time closure Achnashellach

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Highland Council has made an Order in terms of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit access by all vehicular traffic to the Lair Railway Bridge at Achnashellach.
An alternative route will be available for vehicular traffic and this will be signed in advance.
Please note - There will be an hourly amnesty to allow vehicles to pass safely.
The Order will be effective during the following periods (1) from 2300 hrs on Monday 6th July 2020 until 0600 hrs on Tuesday 7th July 2020; and (2) each night from 2300 hrs until 0600 hrs (7 hrs) during the period from 2300 hrs on Monday 6th July 2020 until 0600 hrs on Friday 10th July 2020 .
So to simplify – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night - 2300 - 0600
Reason for temporary road closure;
The proposed closure is to facilitate necessary repairs on the Lair railway bridge to be carried out safely.
